Hempz Herbal Body Moisturizer – Vanilla Plum. I LOVE this lotion! I have extremely sensitive skin. If you look at me too hard i break out in hives. This lotion is very soothing and non greasy, plus it is made from natural ingredients and I haven’t had any adverse reactions to it. I got it at Marshall’s for 12.99 and the regular retail price is $26.00.
Can we take a moment to appreciate how great Marshall’s is? For a long time I didn’t like it because I could never find anything good but then I started going to a different store location and let me tell you, my wallet was not happy with me. It’s crazy to me that they aren’t all the same but that makes sense if you think about how their system works. It’s a great store and if you are a person on a budget like me it will become your best friend.
Grease Lightning Tea Tree Cleanser- Lush – I use this as a spot treatment and it’s amazing! I put it on after I wash my face in the morning and before bed and after 3-4 days depending on the size of my acne it is gone!
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser – Okay remember how I was talking about the overly sensitive skin? This is the best cleanser I’ve found so far. Other sensitive skin cleansers had still left my face with red blotchy dry patches and feeling super tight. That is not a normal feeling and if that is happening you probably need to switch to a less harsh face wash. It’s not too expensive and can be found at most drug stores and target. If you have access to costco they sell it in a two pack and it’s the best bang for your buck.
Maybelline Gel Liner – Blackest Black – This is my go to eyeliner. I’m not a huge fan of liquid liners, gel is just neater and easier to use for me. This one is pretty good but after a while the product in the pot gets flakey and then it’s not so good. To prevent that I scoop some product out using my spatula instead of dipping my brush into the product. I’m still on the hunt for my Holy Grail eyeliner, but don’t worry you will be the first to know when I’ve found it.
Night Owl eyeliner in Haunted by MadeULookByLex – When I first tried this product I didn’t like it very much. It was a little messy but it is a liquid liner. After using it a few more times it has quickly become my favorite! If you don’t use liquid liner often then it will take some practice but the foam type pen tip is really great for creating perfect wings.
Morphe Brushes 35W palette – This is my go to everyday eyeshadow palette. I even have a second one that I keep in my kit to use on clients. The W stands for Warm and so far it’s the best neutrals palette I’ve come across. I have heard that some people find their eye shadows irritate their eyes but I’ve never had a problem with them. The great thing about Morphe Brushes is that they are very affordable so maybe try one eyeshadow to make sure it’s safe to use for you. I think their eye shadows go for about $2-$3.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade – Blonde – Everyone says it is amazing and honestly I always thought it was a little bit of hype, but this stuff is AMAZING! I never realized how incomplete my makeup collection was until I picked up this products. It’s creamy and stays in place all day, which is amazing for California Summers. This product was $18 at Macy’s.
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Polish – I’ve picked up 2 colors recently. Mauve It (pictured below) and Sonic Bloom (pictured above). I forgot how much I love nail polish but mostly I forgot how much I love THIS nail polish, I also have a purple color I can’t seem to find. It really does dry instantly which is great for me because I often forget I just painted my nails and try pet one of the fluffy cats in my house. I’ve also found that it’s cheaper to get this nail polish at CVS for $5.79 rather than $7 and change at Target.
